2012 KTM 450SX-F Review

Engine

Stunning, state-of-the-art four-stroke single cylinder 450 SX-F, with two overhead camshafts and four valves activated by means of cam levers, there is a wide range of useful speed and a huge torque, combined with unparalleled performance.

Exhaust manifold with HPRS

In collaboration with the innovative HPRS system (resonator tube head) and large diameter muffler, exhaust lightweight titanium head of the 450 SX-F offers a lot of energy in low noise.

Frame

State-of-the-art frame on the 450 SX-F made from quality chrome-molybdenum high is extremely light and rigid. It is also characterized by specific balanced geometry that combines easy handling with incredible precision sharpness.

Telescopic forks

The improved inverted fork integrate technology ensures tape closed fist now even more with a setting a little tighter. At the same time, the WP fork outer diameter of 48 mm (1.89 in) improves perfect handling of the 450 SX-F.

Clutch spring washer

The clutch of new development on the 450 SX-F, a steel cage with durable and easy transfer of depreciation again, use a disk for the first time, instead of the usual conical springs, which reduces the driving force. The mechanism allows a delicate hydraulic clutch.
