A spiritual successor to Buell's first motorcycle, the RW750 1983 XBRR is ready to change the face of privateer racing with a professional level, ready for the race-based production platform equipped with the technology of high-end racing and typical Buell innovation.

"The XBRR combines the current culmination of Buell leading edge chassis technology and Harley-Davidson air-cooled V-Twin powertrain development in a platform designed by and for dedicated development corridors," said Erik Buell President and Chief Technical Officer, Buell Motorcycle Company.

2007 Buell XBRR
For Erik Buell, XBRR marks a return to its roots racing. As a successful privateer road racer at the start of his career, Buell eventually built his own bike race in the AMA then premier Formula 1 class. The RW750 was a race bike built by hand, and was the first official Buell motorcycle. Two were produced before the AMA discontinued the class after 1985. Buell then translated his principles after the race to design a line of successful street bikes up to the current platform XB.

The Buell XBRR features a modified XB storm 1339cc (103.6mm bore x 79.4mm stroke) air / oil-cooled V-Twin motor rated at 150 hp (measured at the crankshaft). The engine is equipped with two dual-downdraft 62mm throttle body electronic fuel injection and air intake system integrated with a dynamic new wind tunnel developed carbon fiber fairing.

The XBRR is the first production Buell RR1200 from 1988 to 1989 to have a full fairing. Its design incorporates lightweight carbon pipes to cool the engine oil cooler. Fairing was extensively wind tunnel tested to improve aerodynamics and reduce drag.

The chassis design is revolutionary XB XBRR partly fuel and oil in the swingarm, changes, modified with a hosting control of the axes and chain drives to allow them to prepare for different circuits. The movement is driven by the fully adjustable Ohlins units, with 43 mm fork and rear shock remote reservoir.

New ZTL2 (Zero Torsional Load) eight-piston front caliper grabs a standard XB front rotor providing outstanding braking performance, but less weight than conventional models. New XBRR six-spoke magnesium weighs 33 percent less than standard XB wheels.

Instruments include tachometer indicator lights for the shift, power on and low oil pressure. The XBRR features a unique Buell Racing paint.
