ENGINE

All new, 1199cc compact, lightweight, water-cooled, DOHC, 4 valves, pumps, double line of more than 80 pounds-feet of torque, a key ingredient that makes the tour exciting adventure.

The newly designed air box maximizes air flow for excellent power and torque output element and uses a high-viscosity flow filter paper.

Double hole, 46 mm throttle body fuel system with TPS (position sensor throttle) and APS (accelerator position sensor). This is a "closed" system, which uses the oxygen sensors in both collectors. The sensors "sniff" the exhaust gases and spent the information fed back to the controller which in turn adjusts the air / fuel mixture for maximum compressive strength of the emissions. Oxygen sensor is located before the muffler, so the use of slip-on will not affect this system.

Function traction control is also part of the ABS system, and works with the YCC-T. Using front and rear wheels, sensors, the system detects when the rear wheel starts to rotate and change the ignition timing and fuel injection to reduce the power and remove the wheels rotate. 2 into 1 exhaust system with catalytic converter honeycomb style to reduce harmful emissions and compact design, "elliptical" muffler soon. "Elliptic" slim design keeps the pot, keeping a thin width of the whole machine. Thermal properties of the silencer for driver and passenger and provides a throaty exhaust note.

Chassis / suspension

Backbone frame style of high-strength steel using the engine as a stressed member. Steel tube is used because it offers excellent resistance - the balance of stiffness and softness intrinsic aluminum for excellent rider and passenger comfort ... especially on long trips. The engine is mounted low in the chassis and allows a fuel tank designed to lower the center of gravity too.

Removable aluminum rear frame to reduce weight and drag. The rear frame has been designed to withstand the rigors of adventure in gross passenger and equipment.

Sustainable design, low steel swingarm casting. The casting process for a higher power because it reduces the amount of gas / air trapped in the material ... to make it stronger. The design contributes to the long stability and handling. The left arm "houses" shaft.

Fully adjustable 43mm inverted fork. This fork is designed to provide good compliance and a sense of stroke. Adjustments include spring preload 8-channel, 10-way rebound and compression damping 13-way. Travel of the front wheel is 190mm (7.5 "). Adjustable design allows the driver to tailor suspension settings to match rider weight, load and terrain conditions.

Monocross link type rear suspension is adjustable, shock, conveniently integrated in the controller "type crown" pre-load (no tools are necessary to adjust the rear spring preload). The rear suspension settings are: 6-way adjustable spring preload and 18-way extension. Rear wheel travel is 190 mm (7.5 ").

ABS equipped with two 310 mm "wave style" floating front discs are squeezed by ultra rigid one-piece 4-piston. The master cylinder has a piston 16 mm. Braking is excellent and offers a good "feedback" to match. There are five options for the positions of the front brake lever to suit a variety of hand sizes

ABS equipped with "wave style" 282mm rear disc is squeezed by a single piston sliding rear caliper type. The rear master cylinder uses a 14mm piston to produce a sound, progressive stopping power with excellent control and feel.

The blockade of the ABS braking system or the next generation of Yamaha has independent control system step-less linear, infinitely variable adjustment of hydraulic pressure. The unity of the ABS, the computer and the hydraulic unit are combined in one compact unit that allows for mass centralization. This system uses wheel sensors and the traction control system, further reducing weight. When the ABS system detects impending wheel lock, the system regulates the hydraulic pressure to the point just before locking the wheels. "Double T" type of wheel is used on the front wheel. Touring driver focused and passenger seats. The cycling part (only) offers two different seat height options. The low position is 845mm (33.3 ") above the ground, while the upper position is 870mm (34.3"). Passenger seat is removable.
