MOTOR

Ultra-compact, lightweight, short stroke, 599cc, DOHC, 16 valves, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder with lightweight titanium valves produces incredible power. Redline is set at an amazing 16,000 rpm.

67mm bore and stroke 42.5 mm offer a faster revving engine. Width of the engine is minimized thanks to Yamaha casting technology special and "liner less" cylinder design.

Compact "roof" cylinder head design features ultra lightweight titanium valves for intake and exhaust. The intake valve angle is 11.5 degrees and the exhaust is 12.25 degrees. The intake valves are 27 mm in diameter while the exhaust valves are 23mm.

Single valve springs intake to reduce weight and "friction" of the towers of high performance. The check valve is lightweight aluminum.

Supply high-speed and exhaust allow more fuel into the exhaust gases and more for great power delivery at all engine speeds.

Light trap magnesium case and covers reduce weight.

Separated from the cylinder block (the cylinder is not part of the top cover) uses the design of ceramic composite plated "liner less" cylinder. The ceramic coating is sprayed directly into the aluminum block. The benefits are greater heat dissipation for consistent power delivery, reduced frictional power loss, reduced oil consumption and since there are no heavy liners, reduced weight too.

Lightweight forged pistons feature thin top rings very high rpm power. Piston pins are secured by lightweight tapered type piston. The lightweight design means fast engine response.

Lightweight crankshaft features 31mm dowels. Crank inertia has been optimized for excellent throttle response and impressive acceleration. Crank bearings have a special oil hole that increase the supply of oil for excellent durability.

Lift / high performance, hollow, semi-driven cam arm that extends the power and strong acceleration.

Semi-automatic hydraulic cam chain tensioner reduces mechanical noise type and maintenance.

System Mikuni fuel injection with throttle body 41 mm has twin injectors (primary and secondary). This type of twin injector system is also available on our MotoGP M1 machine and the latest generation R1. Each of the injectors using 12 spray holes to maximize the atomization process. The secondary injectors, located inside the air box, to start functioning in mid regime (6000-7000 rpm) with the red line. Special short intake paths allow high speed and increased power.

The FI system features separate TPS (throttle position sensor) and APS (accelerator position sensor).

Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) is another first for Yamaha. The electronic control throttle valve improves response and handling at high speed. The system includes a throttle position sensor (TPS) and DC powered motorized butterfly valves. The YCC-T electronic throttle control valve of an exceptional response and improved controllability at all speeds. The YCC-T is used to provide greater control over the volume of intake air for a smoother torque character. The computer that controls the YCC-T is able to meet changing at a rate of 1000 of a second.

YCC-I Yamaha Chip-making or control system means that the intake funnels / stacks vary in length between two preset positions depending on engine speed. The transition regime is approximately 13,700 RPM. An electronic actuator varies the funnels. The revolutionary YCC-I provides the best of both worlds ... strong low-end torque and power combined with advanced high-speed amazing. It takes only 0.3 seconds of one of the funnels to move from the height of the short position.

7.6 liters air box uses a document flow of high viscosity type of air filter.

Ram Air Induction System centrally located intake duct provides a cool, high pressure air "force feeding" in the intake tract for optimal combustion and greater power at higher speeds. Close-ratio 6-speed transmission provides continuous supply of power and maximum acceleration. Widths of travel, splines and engagement dogs are optimized to handle R6 power. Slipper or back limiting clutch reduces rear wheel hop when traveling in low or hard braking. Main advantage is the reduction in lap times and better control when you enter a race or two days on track. This clutch uses 9 paper plates based friction and 8 steel plates, plus 6 coil-type clutch springs.

The oil lubrication system has been optimized to reduce friction losses caused by "oil drag". It has a pump "both sides" of oil. There is an oil cooler to separate water-cooled engine that temperatures compatible for maximum performance and longevity.

Cooling system has a high capacity curved radiator with two fans ringer type for the engine cooling efficiency excellent. The ring-type fan offers more air than a conventional fan.

Direct ignition coils, iridium dual electrode spark plugs and high-speed magneto deliver reliable, super strong spark. With this system, ignition coils embedded in the caps, which reduces the weight.

"Mi ship" 4-in-2-in-1 optimizes engine performance. The diameter and length of the title has been optimized for excellent flow. There are three, catalyziers honeycomb 3-way with an oxygen sensor in the system to reduce harmful emissions of HC & CO exhaust. The oxygen sensor provides feedback to the ECU, so it can adjust to optimize fuel / air mixture. The "mid ship" MotoGP style, lightweight titanium muffler is located below the engine to the central mass and center of gravity too many manipulations.

The exhaust system also features Yamaha EXUP System (Exhaust Ultimate Power Valve) using a titanium body and butterfly valves that prevent "blow back" phenomenon caused by "valve overlap". Chassis / suspension

Compact, lightweight aluminum Deltabox balance and excellent overall rigidity incredibly light and agile. This frame is new to the Yamaha MotoGP inspired calls "the concept of a straight trunk." This means that the top rails of the frame as close as possible to the chassis structure (lines of the swingarm pivot point of the head tube). Ram Air duct passes through the upper frame tube direct impact on the Ram Air. Throw-style mixing and pressed aluminum plates make up the body. Fully adjustable 41 mm upside down fork offers 115 mm (4.5 ") and the degree of flexibility and offers incredible performance suspension adjustments are very precise feedback:. A 5-way preload, 4-way high-speed, hydraulic brake compression, 20-pin low compression damping and 25-way extension. inverted design not only reduces unsprung weight but also increases the stiffness of the fork. adjustment allows the rider to adjust the suspension to driving style and conditions .

Light weight 220mm rear disc brake is squeezed by a single-piston caliper

Lightweight five-spoke 17 "wheels reduce unsprung weight by making hub and spokes a single structural unit. A special casting technique makes the rim section substantially lighter and stronger.

Ultra-sleek "new edge form" bodywork has a profile significantly with the front located Ram Air duct, engine cowlings and tail side revealing ultra stylish.
